Largest museum complex in Adana almost finished

The New Archaeology Museum, which is set to be Turkey’s largest in the southern province of Adana, is nearing completion.

The museum complex, which is being constructed in place of the National Textiles Factory (Milli Mensucat Fabrikası), which was established in 1907 but had not been serving in recent years, will feature an archaeology museum, city museum, agricultural museum, industrial museum, ethnography museum, children’s museum and mosaic museum. 

The complex will also have a café, foyer, sales units, cinema and open area. The exhibition area in Turkey’s largest museum complex will be 36,790 square meters. 

Modern technology will be used for the exhibition of the artworks at the New Archaeology Museum. Pieces will be on display in a way to bring visitors to the past. 

The agricultural museum will feature Adana’s agricultural process, the industrial museum will feature Turkey’s first industrial investments. The city museum will shed light on the city’s history while the ethnography museum will show the city’s cultural accumulation. Children will be able to see toys from past at the children’s museum.
