Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu pledged to bring peace to both Turkey and the Middle East.

“We are an assurance of democracy in Turkey. I’ll say peace in Turkey, peace in the world,” he said on June 3 at his party’s election rally.

Bringing peace to the Middle East would mean peace for Turkey too, Kılıçdaroğlu noted.

Turkey will see a politician from Dersim become the prime minister of the country, the CHP leader said.

“A prime minister, who is a part of an understanding, a tradition that does not marginalize others, does not ignore anybody, embraces 77 million citizens, does not question identity, life style and belief of anybody, while embracing humans as the most important beings,” he stated.

The most important problem of Turkey is unemployment and poverty, the CHP leader said, adding that there are some 17 million poor and 6.25 million unemployed in Turkey.
