Galatasaray on Feb. 12 easily defeated Antalyaspor 3-0 in a Spor Toto Super League in Istanbul to reclaim the top spot in the standings after five weeks.

The Istanbul club’s French striker Bafetimbi Gomis was on top form again, contributing two goals to his team’s victory. Right-winger Sofiane Feghouli also netted one in the first half to help secure the three points for the home side.

Younes Belhanda was sent off after arguing with an Antalyaspor player on the pitch in the final minutes of the game.

The victory enabled Galatasaray to climb to the top spot with 44 points, one point ahead of Başakşehir, which suffered a devastating 2-0 loss at home to Fenerbahçe on Feb. 11.

Brazilian striker Fernandao was on top form for Fenerbahçe, which handed Başakşehir its fourth loss of the season, and now sits in the third spot with 41 points.

Defending champion Beşiktaş was among the winning team in the Week 21 competition, crushing cellar-dweller Karabükspor 5-0 at home on Feb. 10 to keep its fourth place spot with 40 points.

On Feb. 10, Gençlerbirliği salvaged a goalless draw against Trabzonspor at home and struggling Osmanlıspor kept Göztepe at bay with a 3-3 draw in an away game.

In Feb. 11’s games, 10-man Konyaspor won 2-1 at Alanyaspor, Bursaspor lost 1-0 at Akhisar and newly signed Robinho’s excellent free kick goal helped Sivasspor secure a 1-1 draw at Kayserispor.
