Erdoğan appoints deputy treasury, finance ministers

ANKARA

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğann appointed new deputy ministers on Sept. 6.

Nureddin Nebati was appointed deputy treasury minister and Osman Dinçbaş deputy finance minister.

The announcement was published in the Official Gazette.

Nebati, who has a Ph.D. in political science and public administration, has been in the textile business for years.

Nebati was a ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy from the eastern province of Şanlıurfa and head of the Inter-parliamentary Jerusalem Platform.

Dinçbaş, who started his career as an audit assistant in 1984 at Ernst & Young’s Istanbul office, later moved to Hartford and New York offices in the United States and worked in the U.S. for a total of three years. In 2002, he was appointed as Ernst & Young Turkey’s Chief Operations Officer (COO). At the end of 2003, he was promoted as Ernst & Young Turkey general manager and held this position until the end of 2010. He served as president of Market and Business Development in 2011 and left Ernst & Young in January 2012 to set up his own business.

Dinçbaş also served as a member of the Board of Directors of International Investors Association (YASED) between 2004 and 2010 (three successive periods).
