There are natural reasons for the massive differences between the election results declared by political parties and those announced on TV as some channels put more importance in some regions, the head of the Supreme Committee of Elections (YSK) has said, adding that surest results would come from their committee.

“The results that come from us are the healthiest results. The results of the political parties and TV channels can differ. We have not yet announced the results. The political parties are the ones that race and also make the choice in the elections,” said Sadi Güven. “The owner and the assurance of the ballot boxes are the political parties.”

Güven said that as the ballot box results were scanned at the same time, he did not expect a problem with the election results but he added that differences in the rates could occur due to some channels’ priorities over regional importance.

Güven added that as the YSK, they distributed the results they received simultaneously with all the political parties.
