Deputy Premier to visit US with bosses

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister for the economy Ali Babacan departed yesterday for the United States to participate in a series of meetings of the World Bank, IMF and the G20.

Babacan will tour New York, Atlanta and Washington, accompanied by a large delegation of businesspeople including the Chairman of Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

At his first stop in New York, the Turkish deputy premier will take part in a United Nations Global Management Meeting and talk with Citibank executives. He will stop-by Atlanta, where he will meet with Turkish descent CEO of Coca-Cola company Muhtar Kent. On his last stop in Washington, Babacan will participate in the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the IMF. TOBB and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will also have talks within the scope of the memorandum of understanding they have signed.
