Crime gang sells tap water as sex drive booster in Istanbul

ISTANBUL – Doğan News Agency
A criminal gang has been caught selling tap water as a product claiming to boost sex drive in the Beylikdüzü district of Istanbul on March 22.

Police teams launched investigations into a gang selling fake products online following a notice.

Four people, two of whom are of Turkmen origin, were taken under surveillance by the police and the authorities determined that they were using an apartment as office in the Yakuplu neighborhood of Beylikdüzü.

The police carried out a raid early on March 22 and seized five trucks of fake items, including diamond rings, dozens of fake libido drugs, imitations of bags of famous brands, toy cellphones, a large number of bills, national lottery tickets, and scratch cards.

According to the investigation, the gang filled bottles with tap water using needles and mixed with food coloring before selling it as sex drive booster products. It also even established a call center in order to reply to customers who were unhappy with their products.

As part of the operation, four people - identified only as Raykom K., Ezir T., Özcan K. and Yılmaz O. - were detained and taken to the police headquarters in Beylikdüzü.

Police determined that the suspects gave the orders they received online to cargo in the western province of Tekirdağ once a week.
