Turkey’s Bursaspor, one of the five teams with a league cup in its history, has gone intercontinental this year with players from all over the world.

Hertha Berlin Japanese midfielder Hajime Hosogai was Bursaspor’s latest summer signing, granting the team a lineup featuring players from ten countries on five continents.

The northwestern Turkish team sold a number of key players, including star Enes Ünal, who moved to Manchester City, but hired Belgium’s Genk and last year’s top scorer Fernandao who moved to Fenerbahçe, and signed with a total of 16 new players this year, enjoying a new regulation which allowed more foreign players on board.

Hungarian Balasz Dzsudzsak and Miroslav Stoch along with Barcelona’s Isaac Cuenca have already raised hopes among Bursa fans.

The green-whites also transferred Malian midfielder Bakaye Traore, a former AC Milan player, from Kayseri Erciyespor.

Peruvian Luis Advincula, Cameroonian Dany Nounkeu and Australian Aziz Behich were among the other new signings of Bursa, which is excited to start playing in its newly built stadium, Timsah Arena, or the Alligator Arena, soon.

However, the key 2015 signing for the team was likely coach Ertuğrul Sağlam, who orchestrated the Bursa squad that won its first and sole league title in 2010 before leaving the team in 2013.
