Black Sea Theater Festival brings 42 countries together

The 13th Blacksea Theater Festival lasts for ten days and stage 70 different plays from 35 countries in different languages.

A musical titled “This is the Grand Bazaar” was staged yesterday. According to the Academy Istanbul Education, Culture and Art Association, which put on the show, it will be performed at the Istanbul Chamber of Industry’s Sakıp Sabancı Hall. The musical tells the story of people from different cultures and different countries living together at the Grand Bazaar. The show also features the history of the Grand Bazaar, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, and the silk trade while including the Grand Bazaar as a mystical and magical setting.

The musical stands out for its theme of friendship and tolerance.

The show was written by Necmettin Tetik and staged by Levent Ulukut.

Famous Turkish theater actor Halit Akçatepe, Turkish singer Nur Yoldaş, musician Deniz Arcak, and actors Serhat Yiğit, Rüzgar Aksoy, Serkan Budak, Mete Şahinoğlu, Nazlı Uğurtaş, Gülsen Sezek and Levent Ulukut took part in the performance.
