The queen of pop, Madonna, turns 56 on Aug. 16. A party will be thrown to celebrate her birthday at Istanbul’s Artist’s Kahvesi in Istanbul’s Beyoğlu on Aug. 15. She performed in Istanbul’s Türk Telekom Arena on June 7, 2012

Madonna, born Madonna Louise Ciccone, began her musical career in 1983 with her self-titled debut album. Since then, she has become an iconic figure in dance, music, fashion, sexuality and even religion.

The singer is currently preparing to release her much-anticipated 13th studio album, rumored to be called “Rebel Heart,” according to Daily Mail.

In July, the songstress teased a new song called “Messiah,” posting a snippet of lyrics on Instagram. The singer has been working with top producers for the new record, including Diplo, Avicii and Disclosure.

Turkish psychologist DJ Cenk Erdem is organizing the party. He previously held official promotional events for her “Hard Candy” and “Celebration” albums and he is known for his Madonna-themed parties for fans.
Admission is free for the party, which starts at 10 p.m.
