Beko, a leading home appliances brand of Turkish conglomerate Koç Holding, has become an official supporter of the FA Cup. England’s FA Cup is the world’s oldest football tournament, having been organized since 1871.

Last season’s winner was Chelsea, who also won the UEFA Champions League. An estimated 500 million people follow this football tournament per season.

“Beko has a very successful background, particularly in football. It appeals to football fans and their families with its rich product range,” said Sean McAuliffe, the head of business development for the tournament.

Noting that Beko has been advertising at pitches of many renowned football clubs in the Premier League, Beko Plc General Manager Ragıp Balcıoğlu said, “We will carry our existing sports sponsorships a step forward thanks to this partnership.”

The partnership will run through until the end of the 2013-14 football season and grants Beko an extensive range of image rights, advertising and promotional opportunities around the tournament, the official website of the football event said.

Britain is Beko’s strongest foreign market in Europe.
