48 Turkish contractors make ENR’s Global Top 250 list

A total of 48 Turkish contracting companies were included in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2026 Top 250 International Contractors list, the Trade Ministry said on Aug. 21.
The ministry noted that 43 Turkish firms were included in the 2024 ranking and 45 in the 2025 edition. With 48 companies on this year’s list, Türkiye ranked second after China, which was represented by 75 firms.
According to the ministry, the international projects undertaken by the Turkish companies were valued at $24.9 billion last year, up from $20.8 billion in 2024.
Turkish contractors accounted for 4.5 percent of the total project volume generated by the 250 companies included in the ranking.
In terms of the value of international projects, the Turkish contracting sector ranked seventh globally this year, moving up two positions from the previous year and placing ahead of Japan, the Netherlands and India. China, France, Spain, the United States, South Korea and Italy ranked above Türkiye.
The ministry also said seven Turkish companies succeeded in entering the top 100 of the global ranking, while two of them were among the top 50 firms, further strengthening Türkiye’s position in the international contracting industry.
According to the statement, the combined revenues of the world’s 250 largest international contractors rose 9.7 percent to $550.6 billion.
The ministry highlighted that Turkish contractors have continued to expand their overseas operations since entering foreign markets in 1972. As of today, Turkish companies have undertaken 12,952 contracting projects worth more than $567.8 billion in 138 countries.
