The world's tallest man may have reached his peak after treatment at a U.S. hospital.

Measuring in at 8-feet-3 inches, Sultan Kosen of Turkey is listed in the 2011 Guinness World Records at the tallest living man.

Sultan Kosen received treatment at the University of Virginia Medical Center in May 2010 for treatment for a disorder called acromegaly, which is usually caused by a tumor in the pituitary gland.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/AtJeHK) reports that Kosen was placed on a new medication that could potentially help control the production of growth hormone and stop his continued growth.
According to university officials, doctors in Turkey say Kosen has stopped growing.
