Video depicts Turkish policeman beating fan suffering asthma attack during match

Video footage showing a police officer beating a fan suffering an asthma attack in a melee that erupted during a basketball match in the Thracian province of Edirne has caused an uproar, daily Milliyet reported today.
The game between Olin Edirne and Mersin BB was stopped when clashes occurred between police and supporters in the last two minutes of the match.
The video shows the policeman while hitting the supporter with his baton before other police officers separated them.
The man was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital and his
health is now in good condition.
