Gürsu Arat, a 68-year-old retired presenter from Turkey's state broadcaster TRT's İzmir directorate, has been found dead in the sea, reported Hürriyet. The authorities have requested an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Residents of the Aegean province of İzmir saw a dead body in the sea near the Göztepe coast early this morning and called the police. The authorities arrived on the scene and retrieved the corpse from the sea. During the investigation it was found that the dead person was İzmir Journalists Foundation member Arat.
