An official says a passenger bus has collided with a truck in southeast Turkey, killing 25 people.

Gov. Mustafa Toprak of Diyarbakır province said eight other passengers were injured in Wednesday's accident.

The crash occurred on a highway linking Diyarbakır with neighboring Batman province.

There was no immediate information on what caused the accident.
