Turkish president praises Kyrgyz leader

Turkish President Abdullah Gül praised his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazbek Atambayev for his leadership during Kyrgyzstan’s political transition following the Central Asian country’s Tulip Revolution in 2005. “Kyrgyzstan has left spring behind and is entering the summer months,” said Gül in reference to the Arab Spring. The two presidents signed a joint declaration of cooperation while their foreign ministers inked a joint action plan for 2012 to 2013 and an agreement on judicial cooperation.
