A 31-year-old Turkish man built a robot specifically designed to aid people with spinal paralysis, daily Hürriyet reported.

Necati Hacıkadiroğlu and his team worked out the model based on consultations from rehabilitation centers and spinal paralysis foundations, allowing the robot to respond to the exact needs of patients.

The robot can help patients move between sitting and standing positions. It also allows patients to wash dishes and iron clothes and even help them go shopping or to school.

The mechanism aides the patient all through the day, making sure basic tasks are achievable for the paralyzed person.
