Turkish intelligence on the lookout for linguists

The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) will hire linguists specializing in Arabic, Persian or English, the organization announced on its website.

Applicants need to prove that they have studied Arabic, Persian or English, and be very good in comprehending, writing, speaking and translating in their language of expertise, an official MİT statement said. Applications may be made online between July 30 and August 23, it said.

While being at least a high school or equivalent graduate in Arabic or Persian is sufficient, the applicants for the English language need to hold a bachelor degree in one of these departments: English language and literature, American culture and literature, English translation and interpreting, English teaching, English linguistics or science of translation in English.
