Turkish intelligence could meet with imprisoned PKK leader if necessary, Turkish PM says

Turkey’s National Intelligence
Organization (MİT) could hold talks with İmrali, where the outlawed Kurdistan
Workers’ Party’s (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan is in prison, if it is considered
a necessary step to finding a solution to end terror in the country, Turkish
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said.
“MİT can do any kind of move, anytime
... For example, if it's necessary to go to İmralı tomorrow, I would say to the MİT undersecretary, ‘Do what has to be done,’" Erdoğan said during his return flight from Azerbaijan, private broadcaster
NTV reported today.
Such meetings may be held if they bring
a solution and should not be considered a move supporting terror, he added.
