Turkish folk music singer Güler Duman is giving a concert tonight at the Haliç Congress Center in Istanbul to raise charity funds for the quake-stricken province of Van in eastern Turkey. The concert repertoire is based on the singer’s recently released album, which crowns the 30th year of her artistic career. The album features prominent figures from Turkish folk music, including Musa Eroğlu, Sümer Ezgü, Zerrin Özer, Kubat, Sevcan Orhan, Zara, Feryal Öney, Ege, Sezi, Gülay, Mustafa Özarslan and Orhan Ölmez. Ticket revenue from the concert will be channeled to a scholarship fund for students of the province’s Yüzüncü Yıl University. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available at Biletix booths.
