Turkish FM Davutoğlu on trip to Brussels and New York

ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will start a trip to Europe and the U.S. following the local elections held March 30.

Minister Davutoğlu will travel to Brussels on April 1 to participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of NATO countries. He is expected to meet with U.S. Secretary General John Kerry and EU High Representative Catherine Ashton on the sidelines of the NATO meeting.

Davutoğlu will head to New York on the same day, where he will hold meetings for Turkey’s pursuit of non-permanent membership to the U.N. Security Council for the 2015-2016 term.
