Turkish Film Festival starts in London

The festival will continue until June 1 with more than 20 films, documentaries and short films.

The 19th London Turkish Film Festival kicked off May 22 with the British premiere of Mahmut Fazıl Coşkun’s “Yozgat Blues” at Cineworld at the O2 Arena, a venue for sporting and art events in the city.

As well as director Coşkun, Turkish Culture and Tourism Director Ali Selçuk Can, actress Serra Yılmaz and actor Ercan Kesal were among the attendees of the gala night.

Yılmaz was presented with a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony while Derviş Zaim’s film “Devir” (Cycle) was announced as the winner of the Golden Wings Digital Distribution Award from among six nominees.

The festival will continue until June 1 with more than 20 films, documentaries and short films.
