Turkish doctors to train others
Hacettepe University Hospital’s neuroradiological endovascular treatment team will conduct an advanced method of brain operation developed for the treatment of brain and vascular diseases without using a scalpel between Dec. 11 and Dec. 13.
About 700 American and international doctors specializing in neuro-endovascular treatment will watch the operation at Baylor College of Medicine in the American city of Houston as part of an online training program.
The team’s advanced operation methods will be broadcasted from Hacettepe University’s Radiology Department via live satellite to experts at Baylor College of Medicine. This treatment method, developed by a team comprised of Dr. Işıl Saatçi, Dr. Kıvılcım Yavuz, Dr. Serdar Geyik and Dr. Saruhan Çekirge, has been recognized by doctors around the world, particularly within the last 12 years.
