Turkish Airlines set to grow fleet in 2012

ANKARA - Anatolia News Agency
Turkish Airlines plans to add 18 new planes to its fleet in 2012, said Turkish Airlines Head Temel Kotil yesterday.

With the addition of the new aircraft, Kotil expects the airline could begin flights to 10 to 14 new destinations next year.

Kotil said while the global aviation sector has been declining since 2008, Turkish Airlines increased its number of passengers 11.7 percent, its number of planes from 153 to 177 and its number of destinations from 174 to 190 within 2011.
