Veteran Turkish theater actor Müşfik Kenter, who inspired a generation of actors, died today after a long battle with cancer. He was 80.

Kenter, aside from acting in countless theater plays, also acted in movies and TV series and provided voiceovers for documentaries and cartoons.

Kenter won over the Turkish television audience with his voice acting in the Turkish-dubbed version of the American TV show "Alf," where he lent his voice to the friendly alien character.
