Turkey’s big four to play in Super Final

Those teams finishing in the league’s top four spots will enter the playoffs, according to a new ruling that was implemented by the TFF earlier this season. The championship playoff will be known as the “Super Final,” the TFF announced yesterday.
League leaders Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş are guaranteed to finish the league in the top four slots as of the end of match day 32, with two weeks left till the end of the season.
Galatasaray salvaged one point with a late goal against Trabzonspor on March 25, to take its total tally to 71. Second-placed Fenerbahçe has 64 points, Trabzonspor has 54, and Beşiktaş had 53 before playing Istanbul BB late yesterday.
The teams will carry half of their regular-season points into the Super Final, which will be played in six rounds, from April 14 to May 13. The teams finishing in the Super League’s fifth through eighth spots will enter another six-week round, and the first of that group will meet the fourth of the Super Final for a ticket to the Europa League.
