Turkey will stand with earthquake victims of northern Iraq: PM

Turkey will stand with the victims of the search/earthquake'>earthquake that hit northern search/Iraq'>Iraq late on Nov. 12, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım has said, adding that a military cargo plane carrying medical aid and 250 tents were dispatched to Sulaymaniyah. 

“We want them to know Turkey wholeheartedly stands with our search/earthquake'>earthquake-victim brothers. Turkey has mobilized and has sent the first aid convoy to meet the medical and food needs of the brotherly Iraqi people,” the prime minister said in a written message early on Nov. 13.

Yıldırım expressed Turkey’s condolences over the victims of the search/earthquake'>earthquake that claimed the lives of hundreds of people in northern search/Iraq'>Iraq. The magnitude of the search/earthquake'>earthquake was announced as 7.3 on the Richter scale.

The prime minister stressed that Turkey’s Red Crescent has already mobilized its aid convoy to northern search/Iraq'>Iraq.
