The Turkish women’s national basketball team defeated Montenegro 61-41 in their first game in Group E of the second round of the European Women Basketball Championship.

The “Fairies of Basket” put out a strong display to maintain control of the game throughout at the Fonix Hall in Debrecen, Hungary.

Turkey, which completed the first round of the two-round group phase in second place in Group B with three wins and a loss, will play France on June 19 in its next fixture.
