A cargo truck full of rocket heads, bazookas, missiles, bombs and guns has been seized in the southern province of Adana, which is not far from the Syrian border.

A total of 1,200 rocket warheads were seized, according to Gov. Hüseyin Avni Coş.

Adana police teams discovered the weapons in the early hours of Nov. 7, after pursuing the truck initially on suspicions that it was carrying drugs.

The truck, which had a Konya license plate, was confiscated after it arrived at a metal industrial site, where the police were waiting.

Escorted by bomb disposal specialists, anti-terror teams brought the truck to a police station in the city.

The truck will reportedly be unloaded at the station, before an inventory registry of the weapons is conducted.

The driver of the truck has been detained, and an investigation has been launched.

american american, releasing the suspects of chemical weapons, pending trial, is indeed to be criticised. My point is that you have an eagerness to attribute everything bad to Turkey and Turks. You have no problem in using suspect "evidence" to propagate your aims, as was the case here. You also have tendency to use derogatory words to describe the Turks. That is what I'm objecting to, not any valid criticisms you may make, given that Turkey offers one many such opportunities.

and what happened to the guy who was arrested with the chemical weapons? oh yeah, the turkish state just let him go. face it, your intelligence services are equipment al-hannibal the cannibal. the egyptians also did not get an explanation for the guns.

Another important hint "The truck, which had a Konya license" if the police force is serious about the issue, then, they should occupy that city. that city probably terrorists friendly city and they are helping terrorists and facilitate their activities. It is an iceberg effect 10% above water, 90% under water. They should close the enter and exit from that city and make trough search. I believe. you will find a lot of dirty things in that city. Good Luck.

I believe, The police will say sorry we made mistake and send the entire shipment to the terrorists. U. States officially blamed head of MIT who is helping the terrorists and facilitating the all the terrorist activities; therefore, Islamic terrorists are using Turkey as a base for all the preparation and logistics activities. I believe they caught those weapon just as a part of fake scenario in order to fool the world to show they are against the terrorists. It is just another comic story. :)

This is a show and tell piece. You catch one to show the public you are not assisting Al Nusra while 10 other trucks are let through. This is a strategic move by the government to blind the poor old folk of Turkey.

Ahhh, good old "local units"; to the rescue one more time. You used the same excuse a while back, to explain away the police bust on a chemical weapons shipment to Syria, which you claimed was also organised by the Turkish State. Let's get one thing straight, if these shipments are organised by Turkey, they would have safe passage through Turkey. As for the "gun shipments" to Egypt, I seem to remember Turkey asking for an explanation from the Egyptian authorities and them failing to provide one.

baris, so those local cops who thought it was going to be a drug bust are part of deciding foreign policy? just like the cargo ship carrying guns that were labelled as something else to egypt during the height of the muslim brotherhood's violence this summer? a local unit foiled an m.i.t operation. bummer.

american american: "turkey - helping muslim extremists". Why would Turkey stop the truck and seize its cargo, if that was the case? Wouldn't Turkey know about the truck and help it on its was to Syria if she was helping the extremists? Why bother with logic when any propaganda will do, eh?
