Town in US goes up for auction

The smallest official town in the United States was put up for auction today, BBC Turkey reported.
Buford, Wyoming, has only one resident, who is also the owner of the town.
Don Sammons moved to the town with his wife and son in 1980, later buying the settlement.
Sammons, however, decided to sell and leave the town following the death of his wife and the departure of his son.
Established in 1866, up to 2,000 people once lived in the town. But while national parks adjacent to the town continue to attract visitors, Buford no longer draws tourists.
A gas station, convenience store, cell phone tower, post office boxes and five buildings are all up for auction with bids starting at $100,000, according to cnn.com.
