A chemical explosion occurred earlier today as employees took samples from liquids gathered for disposal due to chemical reactions in the western province of Izmit's treatment facility, İZAYDAŞ.

Three people were wounded following the explosion, which blew a hole in the roof of the building.

Wounded employees were subsequently taken to Kocaeli Public Hospital for treatment.
