A mortar shell from Syrian territory landed in the Yayladağı district of the southern Turkish province of Hatay on Aug. 26, wounding three soldiers.
The wounded soldiers, who were patrolling on a field when the shell fell, were taken to a nearby hospital.
Sources say the shell likely came from clashes over the border between Syrian regime forces and local Turkmen forces.
