Tender for third bridge in April

ANKARA - Anatolia News Agency
The new tender date has been set as April 5 for Istanbul’s third Bosporus bridge and the first phase of the Northern Marmara Highway Project.

The “build-operate-tranfser” model tender will be held at the Highway Authority headquarters in Ankara on April 5 at 2:30 p.m., after the initial Jan. 10 tender was cancelled when there were no bidders, according to an announcement in yesterday’s Official Gazette.

Closed bids will be received no sooner than seven days before the tender date, and no bids will be received after the set date.

The third Bosporus bridge will connect Adapazarı and Tekirdağ as part of the 414 kilometer Northern Bosphorus Highway Project and is expected to cost $5 billion.
