A total of 10 Syrians have been injured, with many people being detained during tumult between locals and refugees living in the southeastern province of Gaziantep, following the murder of a Turkish landlord by his Syrian lodger.

The victim H.Ç. was stabbed to death by a Syrian late Aug. 13 after a quarrel ensued following Çalar demanding the lodger and his family empty the house.

The suspect ran away after the event, but a large group gathered in front of the house, but was prevented by the police from breaking in.

Later in the day, a group rallied in front of the house again, with some locals attacking Syrians living in the city. The wounded were hospitalized, some with stab wounds.
