The family of Cüneyet Ünal, a Turkish journalist who is being held captive in Syria, has received a photograph of him after 69 days as a gift for Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of Sacrifice, daily Hürriyet has reported.

Ünal’s wife said she was overjoyed to see her spouse but added that he had lost weight.

The journalist has been in Syrian government custody for more than three months on accusations that he is a terrorist.
