Synthetic textiles from China under spotlight

The Economy Ministry is investigating Chinese textiles for synthetic fibers.
The Economy Ministry has launched an investigation into the importation of textiles from China containing synthetic fibers, it announced yesterday in the Official Gazette. The move comes after the measures to block dumping from Chinese textiles expired, causing renewed fears of unfair competition.“There is enough information and evidence for us to launch an investigation into the importation of these synthetic textile fibers from China, based on the 35th clause of the law prohibiting unfair importation” read the announcement. The current precautionary measures will be in place until the investigation is completed.
