Seven students were hospitalized after police intervened in a fight between students and teachers with gas bombs and nightsticks in the eastern province of Hakkari, daily Hürriyet reported today.

The fight reportedly erupted between students and teachers at Yüksekova Anatolian High School over course marks following the end of semester today.

Injured students were taken to Yüksekova State Hospital.

District Gov. Üzeyir Aziz Özeren said security camera records would be examined, according to reports.
