The Turkish Language Institute (TDK) is preparing a Kurdish dictionary that will go into use next year, association head Dr. Mustafa Kaçalin has said, according to private channel NTV.

"We’ve started working on it. We're planning to finish it for the next education semester. As a first step, it will be a short dictionary for primary school children. But we're planning to prepare a longer one for adults afterwards,” said Kaçalin.

The dictionary will be prepared in the Kurmanji dialect, the dialect spoken most widely by Kurds in Turkey.
