Six Iraqis detained in Turkey’s Çankırı over ISIL links

Turkish security forces have detained six Iraqi nationals in the northern province of Çankırı for their alleged links to ISIL.

The suspects were transferred to the provisional security office after a medical checkup.

Security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to clear ISIL militants from Turkey.

More than 300 people lost their lives in ISIL-claimed attacks in Turkey, where the group has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket, and gun attacks in recent years.
