Seven soldiers injured in car accident

Seven soldiers were injured in a car accident in the eastern province of Van’s Başkale district yesterday.
Reportedly, an armored vehicle heading from Van to Hakkari province went out of control and rolled over the shoulder of the road on the 95th kilometer of Van-Hakkari highway near Yolmaçayır village. The driver has not yet been identified.

Those trapped in the car were removed with the help of people nearby. The seven injured soldiers were sent to Başkale State Hospital on other vehicles and ambulances passing on the road.

Five of the seven injured soldiers were in critical condition and transferred to Van Regional Education and Research Hospital by helicopter after preliminary examinations were done at the state hospital. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
