Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan unleashed his anger on a French journalist who questioned him about corruption in Armenia, local weekly Tribune de Lyon reported on Nov. 22.

"I was questioning Sargsyan about corruption in his country and the possibility of maintaining the Syrian regime by Armenia. My questions escalated the tension in the studio following the interview. The translator attacked me and one of the Armenian ministers threatened me by shaking his finger at me," Olivier Michel, a journalist from France 3 television said.

Sargsyan was in France for a diplomatic visit where he had been received by French President François Hollande.
