Sabancı Holding chairwoman named ‘Most Responsible Leader’

Sabancı Holding Chairwoman Güler Sabancı has been named “The Most Responsible Leader” for the ninth time, as a part of Capital magazine’s “Social Responsibility Leaders Survey.” 

“These results show that Sabancı has been one of the leading, respected and credible brands in Turkey,” Sabancı said in a statement after the announcement.

Meanwhile, for the eleventh time Sabancı Holding was awarded first in the eyes of the public by the survey, which had been conducted since 2004.

“Since its foundation, as the Sabancı Foundation we have offered more than 42,500 scholarships, around 1,000 awards, and support to 119 projects with 11 million [Turkish] Liras. Accordingly, we have touched millions of lives through various programs we have carried out,” she added.

She also noted Sabancı Holding has been a defender for women rights, young people and disabled people within national and international platforms, adding that the holding’s vision has interiorized social responsibility as one of their essential values.

“We will continue to work in a bid to deserve this trust and making lasting impacts, with a sense of responsibility,” Sabancı vowed.
