Renault shows trust in Turkish Executives

French automotive giant Renault has appointed Tunç Başeğmez, head of Oyak Renault’s Bursa factory, to be the temporary General Manager of Renault’s new Dacia factory in the town of Tanca in Morocco.Başeğmez will head the factory, in which Renault has made a 1.1 million Euro investment.
“The Oyak-Renault factory in Bursa has been like a school for us. With a team of 20 we will teach Morocco how to produce automobiles,” said Başeğmez explaining that they will use the same production concept in Morocco and the Moroccan engineers will also be trained in Turkey. The factory in Tanca will produce Dacia’s new Lodgy model commercial and passenger vehicles and plans to produce 400 automobiles per year, according to Başeğmez.
