Religious scholar Gülen offers condolences to Newtown victims

Self-exiled religious scholar Fethullah Gülen extended his condolences to the victims of the recent Newtown, Connecticut shooting through a statement published on his website, daily Hurriyet has reported.
 
Gülen called on the families of the victims and the American people as a whole to have patience and strength following the tragedy.
 
On Dec. 14, 20-year-old Adam Lanza shot dead 20 children and six adults at a Connecticut elementary school. All six adults killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School were women. Of the 20 children, eight were boys, 12 were girls and all were 6 or 7 years old. Lanza also killed his mother, Nancy Lanza.
