Relations with Guinea ‘weak’

ANKARA - Anatolia News Agency
Although the bilateral relations between Turkey and Guinea have increased proportionally over the last few years, they are still far from their actual potential, Turkish Education Minister Nabi Avci said today.

Mentioning that Turkey valued Africa due to its multidimensional foreign policy, “Turkey’s inclination towards Africa isn’t only related to economic and commercial targets, but also an integrated policy embodying regular humanitarian aid for the development of Africa. Although the bilateral relations between Turkey and Guinea increased proportionally over the last few years, they are still far from their actual potential,” he said at the second term closing meeting of Turkey-Guinea Commerce, Economy and Technical Cooperation Joint Commission in Ankara.

“Turkey aims not only to increase trade with Guinea but also to establish economic relations to improve the prosperity of both nations. Our biggest duty is to pave way for the private sector and up heave our economic relations onto the shoulders of the private sector,” said Avcı.
