Real estate company to begin trading on bourse

Saf Gayrimenkul, a real estate investment trust (REIT), will begin trading today on the Istanbul Stock Exchange (İMKB).

Saf will trade under the ticker “SAFGY,” becoming the third company to start trading on the İMKB this week.

Avod Kurutulmus Gıda, a Turkish dried vegetable producer, jumped into its first trading day yesterday in Istanbul after selling 6 million shares, or a 28 percent stake, in an initial public offering last week.

Avod rose 6 percent to 2.65 Turkish Liras in the morning session, compared to 2.5 liras, the initial public offering price.

Gentra, a local logistics company, also began trading on the Istanbul bourse Dec. 5.
