One of the world’s most important figures in popular music, Stevie Wonder will perform his first-ever concert in Istanbul on Sept. 14. Wonder has been a highly influential figure in music with his amazing vocals, unique style and compositions leading him to become one of the most important figures in music history. A singer-songwriter, composer and producer, he started his career in 1963 at the age of 13. He released his very first album “Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius,” and with his song “Fingertips, Part 2” Wonder became the youngest artist in history to reach the top of the music charts. Subsequent Top 10 singles included “I Was Made to Love Her,” “For Once in My Life,” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I’m Yours.” Released in the fall of 1972, the album “Talking Book” featured the hits “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” and “Superstition” – one of the most famous examples of the sound of the clavinet.
