Police detain 11 DHKP-C suspects in Turkey’s east

Police have detained 11 suspected members of the outlawed leftist Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) in simultaneous operations in Turkey’s eastern Elazığ province. 

Anti-terror police, in collaboration with special operations teams, launched simultaneous operations into 12 addresses in two of Elazığ’s neighborhoods. 

Some 250 police officers joined the operation during which 12 flats were raided and 11 suspects were detained. 

Reports indicate the suspects were brought to the anti-terror branch after undergoing medical examination.
