Police arrest Spanish citizen for stealing gold

Turkish police arrested a Spanish citizen yesterday for stealing over six kilograms of gold and $40,000 in cash, during last week’s international jewelry fair in Istanbul.According to police reports, Daniel A.P. was arrested yesterday at Istanbul Atatürk Airport with the stolen gold and cash on him.
Turkish police are continuing their search for seven more suspects who are holding Costa Rican, Venezuelan and United States passports.
A total of eight people stole the gold and cash during the Istanbul International Jewelry Fair on March 25.
According to the Turkish police, surveillance cameras recorded the thefts during the fair and were thus able to identify the thieves.
